DNS zones, templates and projects

Managing zones and records, mail templates (SPF, DMARC), glue NS and automatic zone on project create.

  1. Creating a zone

    DNS → Zones → New zone. Enter domain (apex), select primary server and apply template if needed (web, mail). Edit A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT records in the table.

  2. Mail and glue records

    Global DNS settings define default MX, SPF, DMARC and DKIM for mail templates. For registrar copy NS glue records from DNS → Server settings / zone details.

  3. Project with DNS support

    When creating a project enable DNS zone option. Panel checks if zone exists; if not, creates apex zone and basic A/www/MX records from web server IP and project hostname.

  4. Secondary DNS

    For AXFR replication install secondary DNS with wizard on another VM or use external secondary. Primary zone must allow transfer to secondary IP.
